Godiva Carnival 2011 is titled ‘Dawn of Godiva’ and aims to celebrate the values of both Godiva herself and the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The values capture inspiration; determination; excellence; equality; fairplay; courage and social justice and they will be transformed into spectacular carnival costumes by
International award winning carnival designer Brian MacFarlane.
The Carnival is part of the Godiva Awakes project, one of a series of 12 public art pieces (entitled Artists taking the lead) across the UK to celebrate the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.
